Rest Easy
Located on the same property as the Old Bryce Jemison Center is this cold and sterile feeling facility. It was once an intermediate care facility for elderly who have mental disabilities, and was founded in 1976. The facility was only housing a quarter of it's capacity, and was closed for good in mid 2003. The building has been absolutely ravaged over the nearly ten years of it's abandonment. Wirings ripped out, metal window frames stolen, walls smashed out, arson, and every wall covered in graffiti, are just a few of the crimes this building has suffered.

We also visited the miniature golf course that is on the property, which was built to entertain theprisoners patients of the Jemison Center.

Fire Tower
Seemingly abandoned fire watch tower.
Steps made of soggy, rotting wood. Do not attempt to climb. And other things.

Filthy Rich.

Totally unrelated conc/gravel plant.

John Henry
A few sights that can be had near Leeds, AL.

The Coosa Tunnel, seen above, is possibly the site where John Henry raced against a steam drill in the construction of the tunnel. No one knows for sure where the race took place, or if it even did.

Mental Hospital #11
Abandoned development center for the mentally impaired and damaged.
After running for less than a decade, the facility was closed in 1997. The rate at which nature is reclaiming this land is amazing.

It's hard to start a Trane.

Massive cooking pots.
Urbex Party!

The facility even had a zombie in it, and judging by the mask, a former explorer.
